Dr. Amit Kumar
Dr. Amit Kumar is a geotechnical engineering researcher specializing in soil stabilization, sustainable construction materials, and performance optimization of subgrade systems under complex environmental conditions. He obtained his PhD from the National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, India where his research focused on optimizing soil additives subjected to freeze-thaw cycles using advanced statistical and experimental design techniques. His expertise spans problematic soils (expansive and collapsible), fiber-reinforced and waste based stabilization methods, and microstructural characterization using advanced analytical techniques.
Dr. Kumar has an established research profile with publications in Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals, alongside a scholarly book on polypropylene fibre applications in expansive soils. His work integrates sustainability with engineering performance, including the use of industrial and natural waste materials, nanotechnology applications, and multi-objective optimization approaches. He actively contributes to the academic community as a reviewer for leading Springer and Elsevier journals and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Intelligent Geotechnical Engineering and Foundations. In addition, he has teaching experience at reputed institutions and is a member of several international professional societies, including ASCE and ASTM.
