Prof. Dr. Weiguo Li
Li Weiguo is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the College of Aerospace Engineering, Chongqing University. He has been selected for the National High-Level Talent Program, the Young and Middle-Aged Science and Technology Innovation Leading Talent by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Outstanding Talent of the New Century by the Ministry of Education, and the "Hongshen" Distinguished Scholar at Chongqing University. He serves as a Fellow of the International Association of Applied Mechanics, an Executive Council Member of the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, the President of the Chongqing Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, and the position of Director of the Chongqing Key Laboratory of Heterogeneous Material Mechanics. He is a member or deputy director of numerous committees, including the Solid Mechanics Committee of the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, the Expert Committee for the Lunar Exploration Mission of the Sixth Academy of Aerospace, the Thermal Protection Composite Materials Committee of the Chinese Society for Composite Materials, the Deep Space Exploration Technology Committee of the Chinese Astronautical Society, the Material Technology Expert Advisory Committee of the China Academy of Space Technology, the Structural Ceramics Technical Committee of the Inorganic Non-Metallic Materials Field Committee of the China Standards Innovation Group, the High-Temperature Testing Technical Committee of the Testing Technology Branch of the Chinese Ceramic Society, and the Dam Concrete and Rock Fracture Mechanics Committee of the Chinese Society for Dam Engineering. He is also the leader of several provincial and ministerial-level research teams and serves on the editorial boards of several journals, including Chinese Journal of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, Advances in Mechanics, Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, Packaging Engineering, Chinese Journal of Applied Mechanics, and High-Temperature Materials. He has presided over seven National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, including a major research instrumentation development project. He has published over 230 SCI papers and has been granted 22 invention patents.

High-temperature mechanical properties of materials, strengthening and toughening theories, damage and fracture mechanics, and constitutive relations; thermal protection materials and technologies for hypersonic vehicles; theoretical characterization methods and instrumentation development for material mechanical behavior under extreme environments.
