Dr. Yibiao LIU

Academic Background:
Dr. Yibiao Liu is currently an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Rock and Soil Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He obtained his Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering from the same institute in 2023. He earned dual Bachelor's degrees, in Civil Engineering from Wuhan University of Technology and in Management Science and Engineering from Wuhan University. His research focuses on the disaster mechanisms of slopes/landslides and the innovative application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in geotechnical engineering.

Academic Achievements:
Dr. Liu has demonstrated strong research capability, serving as the Principal Investigator for a project funded by the Hubei Provincial Natural Science Foundation. His key contributions include the development of the Hubei Provincial Cloud Database System for slopes/landslides, and the creation of novel analytical frameworks such as a deterministic/probabilistic back‑analysis method based on displacement monitoring and a non‑intrusive stochastic finite element method for slope reliability analysis. He has also developed integrated 3D updating algorithms for “parameter identification–stability analysis.” His work has been applied in geological disaster prevention for major highway projects.
In support of the journal’s inaugural development, I have already submitted a research manuscript for publication. I am confident that with our collective commitment to quality, the journal will make significant progress toward its indexing goals.
