Prof. Dr. Zhang Jianhua

Prof. Jianhua Zhang has pioneered research in offshore wind power for over 17 years, focusing on three interconnected areas: the structural dynamic disaster mechanisms in complex marine environments, high-performance protection technologies, and intelligent operation and maintenance methods. His foundational work includes a critical safety assessment for China's first offshore demonstration wind turbine (Suizhong 36-1, Bohai Sea) and contributions to the nation's first megawatt-level vertical-axis wind turbine project. Over the past five years, leveraging key national initiatives like the NSFC Key Program and the National Key R&D Plan, he has achieved systematic breakthroughs in the dynamic analysis, safety protection, and smart O&M of offshore wind structures, providing vital support for the technological self-sufficiency and industrial upgrade of China's sector. His distinguished record includes leading more than 30 national and major industrial projects, authoring over 40 first/corresponding-author papers in top journals (e.g., Renewable Energy, Ocean Engineering), obtaining 31 invention patents and 26 software copyrights as the first inventor, contributing to 5 industry standards, and receiving 6 provincial/ministerial-level science and technology awards.
