Prof. Dr. Zhang Jianhua

Prof. Dr. Jianhua Zhang has over 18 years of research experience in offshore wind power, specializing in structural dynamic disaster mechanisms in complex marine environments, high-performance protection technologies, and intelligent operation and maintenance methods. He contributed critical safety assessments for China’s first offshore demonstration wind turbine (Suizhong 36-1, Bohai Sea) and the nation’s first megawatt-level vertical-axis wind turbine project. Over the past five years, through key national initiatives including the NSFC Key Program and the National Key R&D Plan, he has achieved systematic breakthroughs in dynamic analysis, safety protection, and smart O&M of offshore wind structures, supporting technological self-sufficiency and industrial upgrading in China’s offshore wind sector. He has led over 30 national and major industrial projects, published more than 46 first/corresponding-author papers in top journals (e.g., Renewable EnergyOcean Engineering), holds 31 invention patents and 26 software copyrights as first inventor, contributed to 5 industry standards, and received 6 provincial/ministerial-level science and technology awards.
